BellaBott believes that it is an integral component for nappies to have only natural fibres touching your child’s skin. All products are designed to maximise absorbency, be snug and slimline, durable, easy to use, suited to sensitive skin and environmentally friendly.
Materials We Use
WARNING: It takes up to 500 years for a disposable nappy to decompose!
Why you need to use bamboo …
Bamboo fabric is:
- naturally anti-bacterial
- super absorbent and;
- soft to touch.
Bamboo wicks away moisture, is breathable and its thermal regulating qualities makes it an ideal nappy fabric. For those with sensitive skin, it is perfect.
Bamboo is extremely environmentally friendly to use as it is a highly renewable source and eco-friendly to grow.
All BellaBott products use bamboo french knit terry towel (70% bamboo, 30% cotton for durability). The bamboo fabric used is 400gsm which provides superior absorbency levels without affecting the drying time.
BellaBott believes that bamboo is the best cloth nappy material for absorbency.
Why you want the BellaBott waterproofing layer …
BellaBott Nappies and Breast Pads come with an attached waterproofing layer of PUL (PolyUrethane Laminate). BellaBott has sourced a high-quality PUL which ensures that it will last time and time again as it is:
- 100% polyester knit fabric bonded to a 1mil PU breathable and;
- has a waterproofing film on the ‘unseen’ side of the fabric.
As an outside waterproofing layer it mimics the convenience of a disposable nappy with no need to add extra layers. Simply clip and go.
Attaching PUL to our breast pads ensures that you will have no wet accidents throughout the day.
All these factors make PUL the best cloth nappy material for waterproofing.
Why suedecloth …
Keeping true to our philosophy of natural fibres next to skin, there is a hidden suedecloth layer in our absorbency inserts for durability. Suedecloth is a stay-dry fabric.
Primarily suedecloth is a support fabric which ensures that the KAM Snaps in the inserts don’t pull through the fabric.
Why microfibre …
Microfibre is really the bees knees of absorbency so if you are concerned about leaks then look no further then our microfibre absorbency inserts and boosters. But don't worry this synthetic fibre is hidden between our bamboo french terry fabric so only natural fibres against baby's skin.
